Builderall vs Clickfunnels
The emergence of Clickfunnels alternatives like Builderall just goes to show how much the e-commerce market has grown. More and more beginners are dipping their toes into the waters of entrepreneurship, and, seeing that you’ve found our blog, it seems like you’re trying to get one started too. No matter if you’re a beginner or seasoned vet, check out this Builderall vs Clickfunnels comparison.
There are many funnel-building SAAS products that you can use and all of them have different plans. It’s essential that you know the differences between the platforms, so let’s start with two of the larger services.
Builderall vs Clickfunnels 2023 TLDR

For all you skimmers (like me :-P), here’s the main difference between Builderall and Clickfunnels in 2023:
- Get so many more features than Builderall with Clickfunnels
- Look into Builderall if Clickfunnels pricing is a concern
- Clickfunnels is best for more serious entrepreneurs also looking to becoming a part of a larger community for support. The platform has many friendly users willing to help, compensating for its higher prices.
- Builderall is best for beginning entrepreneurs that are just getting into e-commerce. It has a low entry cost, thus its low risk.
Clickfunnels vs Builderall Examples: Who is Using Them?
Clickfunnels
With nearly around 18.21 million visits in just the last six months, Clickfunnels is clearly one of the most popular platforms for building e-commerce websites. On top of that, they’ve got their fancy mobile app for both Android and iPhones, really expanding their customer-base as well as their exposure.
Statistics show that Clickfunnels is used mostly by United States residents followed by the United Kingdom. Now, this means for those that are familiar with English, you will be able to receive easy customer support without language barriers. We know it might not seem like a big deal, but trust us: when you are trying to grow a business and your website goes down, you won’t have the time or the patience to run things through Google Translate!
Also, nearly 50 percent of Clickfunnels’ total traffic is from social media websites such as Facebook or YouTube. With this, you will likely be able to find creators and online tips and tricks on how to increase your sales or beautify your landing page. Free help and tutorials to boost your business!
This website is definitely great for those that are looking for reliable funneling websites, English speakers, and those that are willing to receive help via social media. We believe that these three aspects are the largest perks of this website!
Builderall
Right off the bat, you can tell Builderall is a smaller platform: with only around 1.84 million visits in the last six months. This, by no means, is a tiny number, but compared to Clickfunnels, Builderall is still a local business.
As a company launched in Brazil, it is no surprise that Brazil makes up around 42 percent of the customer-base. But the surprising statistic is who’s up second: none other than the United States, a country in which e-commerce is taking over the economy by storm. As the number slowly rises over time, we can hope for better features and support for English-speaking users in the near future!
A bit of a roadblock here: only 11.51 percent of Builderall’s traffic is created via social media. That’s a great thing if you are trying to introduce something new to YouTube and Facebook viewers, but it’s terrible if you want support from the community. Speaking from the perspective of an English-speaking user, you would want to be able to look into the community forums and find debugging issues for your website. If the forum posts and answers are in Portugese, that becomes way, way harder.
Still, this website does have a lot of growing potential. It is slowly moving up the ladder in terms of popularity thanks to its affiliate program! This would be best for those that that are currently residing in Brazil as well as consumers that are willing to miss out on community engagement in place of cheap prices.
Behind the Scenes
Clickfunnels
The current CEO and co-founder of Clickfunnels is Russel Brunson, an ex-college wrestler who ended up making over a million dollars in sales from his business a year after graduating. Needless to say, this guy was born to be an entrepreneur!
From an athlete to becoming an owner of a successful business in the span of four years? It seems difficult.
But really, Russel Brunson’s message behind the founding of Clickfunnels is to let everyone else know that business today is easier than ever with the advent of technology in the Internet as well as a more service-job oriented economy. Just like his transformation from an athlete to a successful entrepreneur, he wants you to believe that you, too, can make that transition with ease.
That’s essentially the whole idea behind Clickfunnels: to lower the entry barrier for those that have a brilliant business idea but may not have the technical capabilities to launch it.
In previous years, you would have to set up a team. Ideas were never enough to start businesses; you had to have the capital arranged before your ideas became real. A graphic designer, a couple of web developers, coders for specific plug-in customizations would have been the minimum. However, with Clickfunnels and Russel Brunson’s benevolent motivation to spark a change in today’s business dynamic by making everyone potential entrepreneurs, you and any other aspiring businessmen are just one step closer to launching your e-commerce ideas.
So why should you care about Russel Brunson’s past?
Because it’s the reason why Clickfunnels is what it is today. His background made him realize that he could make the process of launching businesses so much easier for future entrepreneurs, hence the user-friendly vocabulary and interface represented by Clickfunnel’s control panels.
Builderall
Apparently all e-commerce platform CEOs and co-founders are all athletes or jocks, as Erick Salgado, the current owner of Builderall, originally started off as a physical education teacher. Again, from a physical education teacher to an e-commerce entrepreneur, the transition in profession seems to be quite big of a jump.
Like Russel Brunson, Erick Salgado aims to make e-commerce easier for everyone (hence the name of his sister company “e-Business4Us”) because it would allow for people to launch their business ideas whenever they desired to.
The overall story and motivation are very similar to that of Brunson, but simply under a different brand. All in all, they both seem like they want to reduce the stigma around entrepreneurship that repels people from realizing their business idea.
Free Trial
Clickfunnels
It’s quite obvious that the objective of Clickfunnels is to really lower the entry barrier for all beginning entrepreneurs, and that includes costs. Clickfunnels does this not only by making website editing so easy, but it also offers a two-week free trial to allow you and other entrepreneurs to start an e-commerce business completely risk-free.
At the same time, however, you will have to purchase domain names and other paid services in order to fully take advantage of Clickfunnel’s features. In short, if you aren’t on a paid plan, it’s really difficult for you to start making money. At the same time, though, it is a great way to test out if this whole e-commerce thing is right for you!
You can always back out of the trial, but you would have to go through a separate process of canceling and erasing your credit card information as Clickfunnels might end up charging you after the free trial ends.
Builderall
Perhaps the best part about Builderall is that the free trial does not require you to put in your credit card information! More often than not, free trials aim to take your money once you forget about the subscription that you’ve paid for. It’s refreshing to see a service that exists for its customers! By making the free trial session completely free of charge and easy to enter, it significantly lowers the entry barrier.
If you are testing out e-commerce or looking to launch your first business ever, you need practice building landing pages to engage your customers/visitors. Bulderall’s free trial is perfect for that because it provides you with all the templates it would provide to its paid customers. So, you could say, the free trial is a pretty good representation of what your paid experiences will be like.
With that being said, you will still notice that you won’t be able to really launch your business and let it go on cruise control on Builderall. Like Clickfunnels, you have all the technical aspects that you have to take care of like buying a domain name to brand yourself properly. At the same time, it’s a great tool that you can use if you are just starting to get into e-commerce.
To sum up the Builderall vs Clickfunnels free trial comparison:
- Clickfunnels is a larger commitment than Builderall, which means Builderall is a bit more approachable since it doesn’t have as many constraints as Clickfunnels.
- On top of that, Builderall’s free trial is a pretty good representation of what their services will look like in your paid plans.
So what exactly do they offer when you start paying, and how much do you have to pay for different services?
Pricing Comparison
Builderall
Free, BUT…very limited version of Builderall. It’s a great way to play around with their Cheetah Drag n Drop website builder.$0
Builderall Premium
The highest Builderall tier gives you unlimited subscribers and access to every. single. feature. Hint: they offer a lot.<$70
Clickfunnels
Build funnels (capped at 20) quickly and easily with a “drag ‘n’ drop” style editor, and pre-designed templates.$97
Clickfunnels Platinum
ClickFunnels Platinum gives you the ability & flexibility to create unlimited offers & unlimited growth.$297
Clickfunnels: Basic
For $97 a month, you will have access to most of the resources that you will ever need in order to create an attractive landing page for your potential customers. However, this doesn’t really make this plan all that special; the whole point of using Clickfunnels is not only to create a successful website but also to be able to sell your product.
So is this Clickfunnels $97 plan worth it?
Maybe, if you are a starting entrepreneur with a low budget cap.
In e-commerce, follow-ups are essential. Without proper follow-ups, you will likely experience most customers leaving your website seconds after simply scrolling through your product. If you have a follow-up option that collects your customers’ information when they sign-up, then the system will likely help you contact these customers even though they might not have completed the transaction. You might want to check out Clickfunnels’ Platinum plan if you are seriously looking to start a business!
Clickfunnels: Platinum
For $297 a month, you will not only have access to the great website editing tools that Clickfunnels provides for you, but also have access to follow-ups. But $297 per month seems a bit much for a simple subscription service, doesn’t it?
That’s why the Platinum plan has additional aspects such as having more than one contributor. This, for people that are really looking to create businesses and plan to scale with them, is very important. If you are a student or a regular worker that works from 9 to 6, you probably won’t have the time to run your business. If that is the case, you can always add another contributor so that your brand never stops working!
Having up to 3 contributors, you will be able to take advantage of the fact that three brains always generate more ideas than one, and if you’re not the most artistic person, you can always hire someone else to take charge of all the aesthetic components of your website.
Clickfunnels: Two Comma Club X
$2,497 a month to run a website seems like a lot of money! And we won’t lie to you, it is.
While it does seem quite overpriced, the Two Comma Club is still a great plan if you are a rather large global business with customers from all over the world. The best part about this plan is that you can set up 27 different ways through which your customers can pay for your services or your product.
Basic financial thinking should tell you that this drastically improves your audience/customer-base which leads to additional revenue. If used effectively, these extra payment gateways can seriously boost your profits and truly help your company grow into becoming a powerhouse.
But we still recognize that the price tag on this plan is quite scary. If you are just starting off as a business, we don’t recommend this plan. Rather, look into the basic or the platinum plan. The risk simply outweighs the benefits for beginning brands!
Builderall: Free
$0 a month! It’s free for everyone. But as attractive as that might seem, it definitely is not the right plan if you are truly looking to scale with a business. There are too many missing aspects that make scaling really, really hard.
Instead, how you can take full advantage of this aspect of Builderall is for you to test out your website, get comfortable with editing your pages, understand the dynamic and the process through which customers place orders and how you can deliver your products/services. It’s great for trial companies!
Thanks to its low budget (it’s literally free), there is no risk whatsoever when you sign up and start building your website. If you really like how your product turns out, maybe you can look into generating revenue. In such a case, look into the tiers of Builderall!
Builderall: Builder, Marketer, Essential
For Builderall, there are many different plans from which you can choose from:
- Builder
- Marketer
- Essential
All three plans are pretty good for beginners, but we don’t really consider them as sufficient for larger business scaling except for the essential category.
This is mostly because we looked at the number of subscribers the Builder and Marketer plans provide: only 100 and 5000. It makes follow-ups significantly more difficult. On the other hand, for intermediate entrepreneurs that want to scale at a budget, the Essential plan works great as it allows for them to have around 15000 subscribers.
Builderall: Premium
Of course, out of all of the plans, the Premium plan works the best for scaling. For only $69.90 a month, Builder all users become a part of the Funnel Club which establishes a sense of online comradery, so they’d be able to reach out for help whenever they would like. Moreover, the number of subscribers are infinite, so follow-ups will never be a problem!
Feature Comparison
We evaluated the products available on Builderall and Clickfunnels and have come to the conclusion that Clickfunnels Platinum and Builderall Premium are the best two packages to compare as they are the most popular products for each brand!
Features | CF Platinum | BA Premium |
Follow-Ups | Yes | Yes |
Training Courses | Yes | No |
Immediate SSL Certification | No | Yes |
Similarity: Follow-ups/Subscribers
Well, it’s obvious that these two plans would have similar features. After all, they are both website providers for e-commerce entrepreneurs. We were very glad to find that the option for unlimited follow-ups was a similarity between the two platforms.
To elaborate on what we have mentioned earlier about follow-ups, the best part about being able to come back to your customer is that you can build customer loyalty. Even if you aren’t the richest, most experienced entrepreneur, you know how important trust between customers and the seller is in order for businesses to flourish.
Follow-ups help you keep in touch with your potential customers for returning purchases as you can send out newsletters or, if you are feeling generous, discount codes to encourage visitors to buy your services/products! So in terms of scaling, both platforms are more than viable: thanks to their unlimited subscribers/follow-ups, it makes growing your brand a whole lot easier.
Yes For Clickfunnels, But No For Builderall: Training Courses
We have mentioned above that Clickfunnels is great because of how knowledgeable users of Clickfunnels are. Most Clickfunnels Platinum users are very comfortable with navigating around the website to create the website that they have pictured since they first came up with their business idea.
We now know why: Clickfunnels offer so many training courses. From marketing to the most technical aspects like setting up the right font for your website, purchasing the Clickfunnels platinum plan really puts you on a head start, especially if you are somewhat of an experienced entrepreneur.
As a beginner, it would be difficult to understand what is mentioned in these courses, but with some experience in e-commerce, the course materials can be very, very valuable. This is a serious benefit that the users of Clickfunnels reap while those of Builderall have to miss out on. Yes, there are some YouTube videos about Builderall, but even on social media platforms, Clickfunnels seems to have a larger online presence.
Indeed, these training courses make becoming entrepreneurs so much easier. For some users, this course option should entice them to press the order button for Clickfunnels!
Yes For Builderall, But No For Clickfunnels: SSL Certification
This is more of a convenience issue, but Builderall makes it explicit that they have all of their websites SSL Certified. What this essentially does is it secures your website from potential bots and hackers that can significantly ruin your customer’s experience on your website. It also lets your customers know that your website is secure with the little lock icon right next to the URL on their browsers.
Now, this might not seem like a whole lot, but it feels so much safer to be on a SSL Certified website rather than one that hasn’t been certified (browsers like Google Chrome make a huge deal about not having one, with giant red signs popping up in your screen). In order to retain your visitors, having an SSL Certified website is very helpful (moreso because not having one will hurt you, a lot).
At the same time, SSL Certificates can easily be purchased anywhere on the web, even if you didn’t use Builderall. While the certificate isn’t something unique to Builderall, the way its built-in reduces the hassle for the users.
Builderall vs Clickfunnels Funnel Templates
Clickfunnels
As far as free templates go, Clickfunnel is one of the best options that you can choose. It’s got so many free templates that aren’t just provided by Clickfunnels themselves, but also by other creators and designers. Even better, most of these free templates are proven to work!
But if none of the free templates entice you, you can always go to the Clickfunnels Marketplace to buy templates that have prices ranging from nearly $300 to as low as around $50. We wouldn’t say this is the way to go, but if you find a template that you really like and fits your business theme appropriately, go for it!
Some of the templates on the Marketplace are custom-made, meaning other users of Clickfunnels have used it before and found that they were quite successful, hence their decision to sell them online. Unfortunately, this extra way to make money on Clickfunnels is not an option for anyone, as you would need to have substantial knowledge in HTML and CSS in order to design a template attractive enough to entice other Clickfunnels users to buy your template.
Builderall
Most of Builderall’s templates are free, meaning you have a very wide-range of templates to choose from. Though they are quite simple, today, simplicity can speak volumes!
You can find paid templates on Builderall Market, but, we have to say, the Builderall marketplace is much smaller than Clickfunnels.
There are other websites like Dribbble in which you can find better and cheaper templates. But the downside of using external websites for templates is that when you are looking to customize your website, it’s going to be difficult for you to get professional support from Builderall’s customer service, as the HTML/CSS codes are likely completely different from their default free templates/paid templates on their marketplace.
Similar to Clickfunnels, you are going to need knowledge in CSS and HTML in order to design really cool templates (like the one you would find on marketplaces), so selling templates is out of the picture if you aren’t really familiar with computer coding.
Support and Community
Clickfunnels
Clickfunnels does have a phone number that you can always contact whenever you are struggling with something.
Here’s that Clickfunnels phone number: 1-888-411-0243.
This phone number should be used for immediate support! Call during their work hours if you can’t figure out what exactly is wrong with your website.
But before calling, we recommend that you check out their FAQ/Clickfunnels Help Center. They answer a lot of common questions that you might have, including those about common website bugs, payment issues, and setting up custom domains. This information-rich Help Center is one of the reasons why many believe Clickfunnels is one of the best funneling software!
They also have live chat, but if you are living in the States, we recommend shooting them a call. Clickfunnels usually replies during work hours via live chat, so why not have someone on the phone instead and reduce all of that wait time?
Needless to say:Clickfunnels has one of the best digital marketing communities online, with 250,000+ active users in their Facebook group. And when I say active…I mean that the best of the best funnel hackers are in there answering Clickfunnels beginner questions.
If the seemingly high price was for anything, we believe that it is definitely an entry fee to become a part of this very vibrant community all across the globe!
Builderall
Unfortunately, the same can’t be said for Buliderall.
Though the Facebook group has around 47,000 active users, in terms of requesting help in the community, the users are a lot less enthusiastic about helping each other. Community forums tend to be emptier than that of Clickfunnels, but that isn’t to say that you never get support from other users! It’s just that we observed a more vibrant community in Clickfunnels than Builderall.
Similar to Clickfunnels, Builderall’s live chat is only during business hours, which means if you are trying to start a dropshipping or drop servicing business overseas, getting help can be a bit of a struggle! Their FAQ section isn’t the most detailed one we’ve seen either, and you won’t find a lot of YouTube videos on Builderall compared to Clickfunnels.
Affiliate Program Comparison
Clickfunnels
Before going on and talking about Clickfunnels’ affiliate program, it’s worth noting that there are already a lot of people participating in the affiliate program. This can make finding your affiliate link difficult in the midst of thousands of other affiliate links, but it’s definitely still worth the try.
First, they have two different ways for you to become an affiliate: an approved affiliate and a regular affiliate. A regular affiliate will not be able to take 30 or 40 percent monthly recurring commissions. Instead, they’ll receive commission per the number of sales of their front-end products as well as $100 commission for the 30 Day Summit/the One Funnel Away program. They can also generate revenue via 20 percent monthly commissions. Nothing too special.
But if you become an approved affiliate, that’s when things start to get interesting. First of all, you get to up the monthly commissions rate to 30 percent and if you get really good at affiliate marketing and have at least 40 people active on Clickfunnels via your affiliate link, you’ll be able to make up to 40 percent.
This is definitely a huge strength for Clickfunnels’ affiliate program; we recommend that you look into it!
Builderall Affiliate Program
Builderall’s affiliate program is definitely more simple.
Only sales lead to commission, so in contrast to Clickfunnels’ $100 bonus for having consumers sign-up for a free 30 Day Summit, you have to have the user pay money by selecting one of Builderall’s plans. Once this happens, before you get your recurring payments, you’ll have to wait until the user pays a total of $250. Only then will you be able to get your hands on the money!
In our opinion, Builderall’s affiliate program is a lot less friendly for the marketer. In addition to the $250 hold, there are no bonuses for becoming better marketers other than increased commission. From the marketers perspective, if you have a large enough of a platform to move up to becoming an approved affiliate, Clickfunnels is definitely the way to go!
