ClickFunnels Review and Complaints

We checked different forums and websites to gauge the performance of ClickFunnels. The online sales tool prides itself on several features, making it essential to know how well they work in real-time and if the customer reviews align with the mighty claims.

We are quoting two respected online review resources like G2 Crowd and Capterra, helping you know if ClickFunnels offers the bang for buck performance.

ClickFunnels Testimonials

Currently, the reviews on G2 Crowd are largely positive, averaging 4.7 stars out of 5. You would see digital marketers and entrepreneurs praising the tool for its versatility and features.

Many users also praised the tool for its after-sale service and customer support. Some small business owners have summarized how their experience with ClickFunnels helped save time, money, and resources. Several reviews have defined the tool as an essential ingredient for their growth.

Capterra shows an average score of 4.6 out of 5. It is an impressive rating for an online sales funnel tool. You will find reviews posted by CEOs and marketers.

Many of the reviews highlight how ClickFunnels became an essential part of their business and helped them move their sales process quickly and effectively. Highlighting different features of the tool, users weighed on the universal appeal of ClickFunnels and how it helps businesses in both long-term and short-term gains.

One of the users named Jaime Cross left a video testimonial for ClickFunnels. Cross is an entrepreneur from Colorado Springs, Colorado, who used ClickFunnels to drive her business into success with her husband. Cross claims that her business generated over $130,000 in the first six weeks of their sales funnels.

Here’s her testimonial video:

ClickFunnels Negative Reviews

ClickFunnels is a legit contender in the space for online marketing and sales tools. Although most reviews on public forums have been positive, some reviews also delved into the shortcoming of the tool. Here are some of the negative reviews that we found on Capterra:

“Why do I stick with it then. Because it’s always just slightly more bother to rebuild the pages elsewhere than to soldier on with CF, is what I’ve found.”

“The relentless sales emails are hard to avoid as they are hard to distinguish from the product updates and other emails you want to see.”

“If you complain they will block you from the group where the support tell you to go to get help when they have no clue how to fix your problem.”

It is an expensive piece of garbage that simply doesnt work. Pretty much every aspect of using this awful software was something to dislike intensely.”

While these make for a small chunk of bad reviews for ClickFunnels, some blogs also trace personal customer journeys with the software. A blog by Miles Becker highlights how they lost $10K using the popular sales funnel tool.

It’s worth noting that these reviews could be one-directional and are often marred by an event that drove them to turn to look at their experience in a negative light. We suggest taking them with a pinch of salt.

ClickFunnels Pricing 2023: How Much is Clickfunnels?

ClickFunnels has got its way with the pricing, catering to multiple tiers suiting different sets of users and their budgets. Beginners can start with the trial offer that allows free access to the tool for 14-days. For experienced users, ClickFunnels offers different subscription plans, including a $19 Plan, Basic monthly plan, Platinum monthly plan, and Two Comma Club plan.

We are detailing each package below so that you can pick the one that aligns best with your requirements.

ClickFunnels Free Trial

ClickFunnels offers a 14-day free trial that allows new members to use their software for two weeks and get the hang of features and funnels.

During the trial period, users get access to several features but with limited access. The trial period ends in 14-days, and users are not charged before it. It’s essential to cancel your subscription on the last day of the trial period to avoid getting charged.

ClickFunnels $19 Plan: Myth or Hidden Gem?

For adding more users to its consumer base, ClickFunnels offered a $19 plan. It targeted users who want a beginner-level plan with more features than a trial offer and a bit lesser than the basic plan. It is just the right plan to give budget-conscious users a better taste of sales funnels.

But as good as it sounds, here’s some news:

The Clickfunnels $19 plan does not exist anymore. It’s worth noting that ClickFunnels discontinued the plan. In 2019, Etison Suite LLC’s parent company declared that the $19 funnel plan would be discontinued to promote new ClickFunnels pricing.

This brings us to one question: Was the $19 plan a myth or a hidden gem?

As much of a stellar deal, the $19 plan seemed to be, it had its set of disadvantages. It lacked many features that posed a challenge for new users as they could not access some essential tools that could come in handy for their sales funnels.

Except for its attractive pricing, we did not see any unique selling point for this plan. It’s better to opt for the basic plan and get access to the important features than to get stuck with a super cheap plan that capped your usage and experience.

ClickFunnels Basic $97/Month Plan

The basic plan by ClickFunnels costs $97 per month. With this plan, users can create around 20 funnels and up to 100 pages. Users can also build up to 3 payment pages and 3 domains. For small businesses or freelance marketers with limited requirements, this plan could be a great pick.

ClickFunnels Platinum $297/Month Plan

The Platinum plan is the best choice for medium to big businesses. It allows the creation of unlimited funnels, pages, and also follow-up funnels. Additionally, this plan enables users to add up to three more users, add up to 9 domains, and 9 payment pages.

Users also get access to a weekly review Hackathon that helps in guiding new users through sales funnel building. It offers a step-by-step tutorial helmed by coaches. This plan also has many additional courses and modules on sales, marketing, copywriting, systems, traffic, business strategy, and performance.

Some of the popular courses included in the Platinum plan are:

  1. Affiliate Bootcamp

ClickFunnels Affiliate Program

We could give you a new definition of the ClickFunnels affiliate program, but we think it is better to explain it in the words of the founder. According to Russel Brunson, ClickFunnels affiliate allows people to get paid for adding new customers into ClickFunnels array of products.

ClickFunnels affiliate program prides itself to be the best recurring payment programs for affiliate marketers. One of the best features of this program is that affiliate marketers get paid for the first sale PLUS every other purchase made by the buyer on the platform.

ClickFunnels Affiliate Commission

ClickFunnels pays out a recurring commission to affiliate partners. It is one of the leading affiliate programs in the industry. With ClickFunnels, partners can earn around 40% commission every month per user.

The commissions are paid weekly after the buyers get past the 30-days refund window. The minimum payout is capped at $50. The two-tier affiliate program by ClickFunnels also pays a 5% sub-affiliate commission on product promotions run by buyers who purchase affiliates. Here are the different tiers of affiliates:

Tier 1 Affiliates: This tier gets a commission of 20% on the sale of the ClickFunnels subscription plans. It fetches a recurring commission of $19.4 per month for a basic ClickFunnels subscription and $59.4 for the Platinum plan. Once the affiliate partner has earned a commission of over $1,000 and finished the ClickFunnels Affiliate Bootcamp training program, they are moved to tier 2.

Tier 2 Affiliates: This tier brings a commission of 30% on the sale of premium plans. It fetches a recurring commission of $29.1 per month for a basic ClickFunnels subscription and $89.1 for the Platinum plan. The partner is promoted to tier 3 when they have a minimum of 40 active premium ClickFunnels users (active for at least 30 days).

Tier 3 Affiliates: This tier earns a commission of 40% on the sale of premium plans. It fetches a recurring commission of $38.8 per month for a basic ClickFunnels subscription and $118.8 for the Platinum plan. The commission plan is eligible as long as the buyers/referrals remain customers.

With that kind of payout plan, the affiliate program by ClickFunnels seems to be a good source of passive income for marketers and partners.

Clickfunnels Affiliate Dream Car

ClickFunnels really wants to grow its affiliate program. The company is running a Dream Car contest to attract more affiliate partners. If you bring over 100 referrals who remain active on the platform, you will be eligible to get $500/month. For 200 active referrals, the payment goes up to $1,000/month.

The most prominent ClickFunnels affiliate, Spencer Mecham, has received more than $1 million in commissions. Spencer and many other affiliate marketers/partners have earned hefty commissions and payments on their dream car with ClickFunnels.

If you’re intrigued by this contest and want to make ClickFunnels affiliate marketing your full-time gig, then you must check out the CF Affiliate Bootcamp by Russel Brunson.

5 Top ClickFunnels Alternatives to Consider

ClickFunnels is a great tool, but even the greatest of online tools have got alternatives. For ClickFunnels, we have picked the five best alternatives that you can consider if you are not satisfied with the performance.

Here are some of the reasons why some ClickFunnels users lookout for an alternative:

Lack of some features: The basic plan for ClickFunnels lacks services like email marketing. This turns out to be an additional expense for users as they have to integrate a third-party email marketing software.

Fewer free templates: Some of the design templates included in the basic plan are free for use, while the other templates are paid. The free templates lack a modern outlook.

Pricing: For several users, pricing plays the primary role in shifting to a new tool. Many users consider the plans on offer to be higher than the deserving price.

Here are some of the best alternatives for ClickFunnels.

1. WordPress

WordPress is an open-source Content Management System (CMS). It is a worthy alternative to ClickFunnels because it is free-to-use and allows users to install free plugins to get through the requirements. Users can install plugins like OptimizePress, Elementor, and CartFlows to experience the same functionality as ClickFunnels.

There are several plugins to choose from WordPress plugin library. These plugins help in creating a good sales funnel for your business. Of course, plugins have their shortcomings as they slow down the website speed.

However, small businesses can opt for WordPress over ClickFunnels to save some operational capital.

The WordPress OptimizePress plugin is a great alternative for creating landing pages. It costs just $199/year.

Elementor WordPress plugin for page building costs $49/year, and it offers a better editing experience than ClickFunnels.

CartFlows is another excellent WordPress plugin that helps create sales funnels with pre-built templates, optimized payment gateways, and more. This tool adds ClickFunnels type functionality to your WordPress, and it costs just $25/month.

2. Groovefunnels

GrooveFunnels is a free sales automation tool that you can use in place of ClickFunnels. Users get complete access to the tool without the need to share payment information. It is an easy-to-use platform that offers the same customer support experience as ClickFunnels.

Users can also attain webinars and seminars to get better used to GroovePages and GrooveSell to plan their sales funnel and make money from their online business.

3. GetResponse

GetResponse is a comprehensive SaaS package. It allows users to set up their social marketing campaigns, landing pages and also do email automation for enhanced results. Users can also sell products via GetResponse by integrating them into their existing online business.

The conversion funnel on this tool works seamlessly, and it is easy to use for regular users. It is easy to integrate and has a great looking set of landing pages and newsletter templates.

4. GERU

GERU is a funnel mapping tool or simulator stocked with great features. It enables users to create visual maps and funnels.

The tool also has pre-built templates for funnels, which saves time and money. The sales mapping software on GERU allows users to calculate potential revenue and profits for their sales funnel. It makes for a great alternative for ClickFunnels.

5. Kartra

Kartra is an all-in-one tool with a website and landing page builder, opt-in forms, ticketing, live chat, checkout forms, CRM, email marketing and automation, and video hosting.

It features an easy UI that aids in building simple sales funnels. It transforms the sales process into a step-by-step workflow—a genuine alternative for ClickFunnels with lower pricing.

ClickFunnels Support

ClickFunnels customer support is quite good. We think that their support documentation/knowledge base is standard and sufficient. It features several categories where users are most likely to have questions. The content of the support document is easy to understand.

As for the direct customer support, ClickFunnels has a chat feature located in the dashboard. We are not very impressed by it as the chat support is quick and good with general queries, but complex queries put them to the real test. In some cases with advance queries, the chat support took a longer than expected time to respond. And even the response was not up to the mark, and it did not solve our issue.

We don’t think that the customer support is unhelpful, but we believe they face issues in handling complex queries. Also, it is not easy to solve complex queries via chat messages. For such cases, we must cite the support document that includes every probable query.

ClickFunnels support is available from Monday to Friday (9:00 AM – 5:00 PM EST). Users just have to click on “Get Help” in the dashboard to contact the chat support.

If you’re a ClickFunnels Two Comma Club X member, then you have access to exclusive call support that’s available from 8 AM to 8 PM EST.
